NODA Review: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Kidderminster Operatic & Dramatic Society
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Director: Nigel Preece
Musical Director: Barry Hipkiss
Choreographer: Denise Churchett

Venue: Rose Theatre, Kidderminster

Not an easy show to stage but KODS rose to the challenge and came up with a truly remarkable presentation. The performances from Kathryn Knight and Darren Richards as the two leads ‘Milly’ and ‘Adam’ where delightful right from the start. The ‘Brothers’ gave us ‘that family feeling’, which was ideally matched by the interpretation of the ‘Brides’.

The outraged parents and vilagers played their parts convincingly and with well sung music, well performed movement, it really was a most enjoyable evening. Nigel, Barry and Denise really ‘Produced the Goods’.
