Venue: The Rose Theatre, Kidderminster
Transport the town of Titipu from Japan to down town Gangland in any American City in the 1940′s and we have the setting for Hot Mikado. The music was delightfully upbeat, the costumes colorful lighting just right and I heard every word. The three little maids played their parts well with an ideal Yum Yum by Kathryn Knight.
Julian Richards (Nanki Poo) and Jill Parmenter (Katisha) performed well with Nigel Preece delightful as Ko Ko. Indeed all the principals did creditably. Chorus and dance was well rehearsed and rounded off a most enjoyable evening.
