The saying goes ‘never work with children or animals’ but what happens when the show calls for children and animals? The show is ‘Honk’, the story of the ugly duckling. A nightmare for the wardrobe department with ducklings, geese, hens, cats, frogs, turkeys, swans, etc. Its amazing how the mind associates a yellow tee-shirt, black trousers and a baseball cap with a orange peak as a young duckling. The young people portrayed their characters well. Full marks to Paul Taylor-Mill as Ugly and Russell Tolly as the cat. A small orchestra with some ex-youth members. Well done KODYS.
