Carousel

Venue: The Rose Theatre, Kidderminster

Callum McArthur gave us a different type of Billy Bigelow, he played him very laid back with a devil don’t care attitude and sand the very difficult song Soliloquy very well. Hannah McCormack made a¬†delightful¬†Julie and as her friend, Carrie, Jill Parmenter seemed to be enjoying her role. I enjoyed the scene between her and Jigger (Chris Paine) in Act II when he was trying to get her into the woods. Singing honours go to John Hutton (Mr. Snow) and Claire Hadland (Nettie Fowler). Nice set of children, they had two teams, Oranges and Lemons performing alternate nights. A very enjoyable production.
